About Syntros

How Syntros thinks, what it has done and who is behind it.

Principles

How Syntros makes decisions

  1. 01

If a spreadsheet solves it, I'll tell you a spreadsheet solves it.

    In practice

A proposal may recommend a smaller solution than expected, or no new tool at all.

  2. 02

Understanding a problem and describing it well is half the solution.

    In practice

The first conversations are questions, not demos. The proposal comes only after the technical survey.

  3. 03

A wrong number on a beautiful dashboard is worse than no dashboard at all.

    In practice

Before any chart, the numbers are checked against the source. If they don't reconcile, the dashboard doesn't go live.

  4. 04

Design mistakes show up early, or they show up expensive.

    In practice

Short iterations the client tests from the start, and a prototype before production.

  5. 05

Fewer features, all of them working every single day.

    In practice

What goes into the delivery is what will be used. The rest waits until it's actually needed.

Experience

The experience behind it

Syntros is built on more than ten years of mechanical engineering in Brazil and Europe, in industries where mistakes are expensive.

  • 10+ years of product engineering, from concept to production
  • 7 years in Europe leading mechanical and propulsion engineering teams
  • R&D additive manufacturing and quality as daily practice on complex projects

Where that experience was built

  1. 01Aerospace

Led propulsion hardware engineering for orbital launch vehicles: turbomachinery design, R&D and production strategy, with additive manufacturing at the core.

  2. 02Robotics

Led the mechanical team developing new products, from structural design to mechanical validation under real operating conditions.

  3. 03Offshore oil and gas

Analysis and development of subsea interconnection structures for exploration and production projects, plus technical proposals for export markets.

  4. 04Mining and stone

Design of mechanical equipment for the stone industry and performance analysis of heavy machinery in the field.

Who's behind it

Solutions built by an engineer who needed them mid-project.

Rogério T. L. Valladão

Founder · mechanical engineer

A mechanical engineer driven by curiosity and tough challenges, especially the ones that only yield to work across disciplines, from software to hardware. Over more than ten years taking products from concept to production, he has worked in industries where mistakes are expensive, from launch vehicle propulsion to robotics and offshore, and led engineering teams in Denmark. That range is what lets him choose the right solution, from the simplest to the most elaborate, always tested before it meets the real world. He founded Syntros in Vitória, Brazil, to put that experience to work on engineering and operations problems.
